Leather is paramount when considering bespoke, high quality car interior finishes. The craft of leather stamping and embossing is widely applied by car brands to add a brand’s logo, model or edition name.
Twikit developed an application that allows customers of car brands, or sales advisors, to create unique 3D stamps that can be printed for the leather embossing process giving cars a personalized feel. Next to the “design-to-stamp” flow, Twikit also developed a 3D-print process to generate stamp pads and create the perfect stamp on leather.

For long, the only thing that could be changed about a car’s appearance was the exterior color. Now, the car exterior’s vast surface holds the opportunity to go beyond the paint to create something unique.
With the Twikit customization applications for stickering and wrapping, customers (or sales advisors) can compose or design their own styling whether it is based on striping and lettering or creative patterns and color styles.
With stickering, designs are digitally generated in a customer-friendly front-end to be cut out or printed on automotive grade foils. Wrapping is realized by direct printing on car wrapping foil. Both technologies offer endless possibilities with high visual impact.

Light as a structure or material
Since LED was introduced in car interiors many new applications have seen the light: indicative light, ambient light, multi-colored light are all common and considered the standard for every modern car.
The small footprint of LED modules makes it easy to integrate with detailed finishes and effects. Together with technology partners, Twikit developed a way to combine the best of automotive grade LED systems with 3D-printed, customized “light covers.”
The surfaces and structures of these covers are customizable and deliver lighted interior trims that create a true 3D effect.
